The Shortest 12 Pubs Route In Dublin

You don’t wanna walk? You don’t have to walk (that much).

OVER THE PAST few weeks, we’ve given 12 Pubs fans the ultimate Northside and Central Dublin routes, but we know some of you would rather a less strenuous journey.

Your wish is our command – all the pubs on this list are within ten minutes of each other.

Enjoy and, as always, drink sensibly.

Start: The Den Bar, Pembroke Road

Have a quiet one in this little pub, nestled underneath the Lansdowne Hotel.

Searson’s, Upper Baggot Street

We're getting giddy for the weekend... Who's ... Searson's of Baggot Street Searson's of Baggot Street

Behind the gorgeous facade of this Baggot Street institution lies an even more gorgeous pub – why not stop in to the specialist whiskey bar for a drop?

The Waterloo Bar

Your next pub is just a few steps away from Searson’s, so don’t fret for your poor feet.

The 51 Bar, Haddington Road

Head five minutes round the corner to your next pub, The 51 Bar.

Smyth’s

The Wellington, Baggot Street

Turn left out of Smyth’s down on to Baggot Street, and you’ll see your next port of call, The Wellington.

Toners

Then it’s on to arguably Baggot Street’s most famous pub – if it’s good enough for Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, it’s good enough for your 12 Pubs.

McGrattan’s, Fitzwilliam Lane

Take a lil’ detour up Fitzwilliam Lane to get (briefly) cosy in McGrattan’s,

Doheny Nesbitt’s, Baggot Street

Back out into the cold onto Baggot Street, and into one of the oldest pubs in Dublin - Doheny Nesbitt’s is said to have been around since the 19th century.

Foley’s

This old bar’s relatively sober exterior (excuse the pun) hides pub full of mismatched furniture and kitschy knick-knacks.

O’Donoghues

Your penultimate stop of the night, where you may catch some trad if you’re lucky.

Xico

On to Xico (formerly the Baggot Inn), a late bar where dancing on tables is not only allowed, but encouraged. Congratulations, you’ve made it to your 12th pub!
